I then did a search for "extensions" in the folder but didn't find any of them either. I looked through every subfolder and file in the that profile folder and didn't find any match to the three files named in the Senali's answer: the folder THe link is to a folder named fault. Where you sent me is where I first started (in the Library folder, Mozilla etc). I did not mean to choose this as a solution. Thanks for your response Senali and Wesley. LP users report the same problem on their site but it's clearly a Firefox 71 problem (LP works fine will all my other browsers). Even though LastPass is a "recommended" extension, when I try to re-install from Mozilla I get the message "an unexpected error occurred during installation" (see attached file).
